You do not have a personal account on this site and cannot leave comments, so you cannot request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you on the website, including any data you have provided to us, because there isn’t any.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you from the site, but there isn’t any.

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes separate to this website. See “Club Administration” below.

Where we send your data

Google Maps, WordPress and other third party providers will retain the data they collect and will also monitor search terms and hits from their search results for purposes of monitoring and statistical analysis.


Club Administration

This policy is prepared to comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (2018).
It is an indication on how the LCC implements the requirements of members’ data in order to fulfill the Committee’s legitimate general management and membership purposes of the Club.

DATA CONTROLLER

A Data Controller will be appointed by the Committee. The Data Controller will collate and hold the master database of all members held separately from this website. All members’ details will emanate from this master database. This will include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and boat details.
The member’s application form will include a GDPR paragraph and a Yes/No tick box for applicants to positively opt in and agree to the requirements.
From this master database, information relevant to committee member’s duties will be cascaded as required. No LCC member details will be forwarded to outside parties unless that member has given specific permission in writing, unless required by law enforcement or other legal obligations that the Club may be subject to.

DATA AUDIT

COMMODORE

Will hold a copy of all members’ details and any multiple member correspondence will be sent via blind copy (BCC) emails.

HONORARY SECRETARY

Will hold a copy of all members’ details and any multiple member correspondence will be sent via blind copy (BCC) emails. All members’ correspondence will be distributed by the Honorary Secretary.

HONORARY TREASURER

Will hold details of all financial matters relating to members.

HONORARY MOORINGS OFFICER

Will hold all boat details plus details of visiting yachtsmen, their boat details and payments.

NOMINATED REPRESENTATIVES (NR)

Will hold full details of all loan monies paid to the club by members. Where appropriate NRs will hold sufficient information to carry out specific duties such as winter storage, etc.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Will receive a paper copy of all Members’ names, addresses, phone numbers and a copy of members’ boat details.

INDIVIDUALS’ RIGHTS

Members will have the right to; be informed, have access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing, data portability, object and not be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

DATA RETENTION

All electronic data will be kept for a maximum of two years after an individual ceases to be member.

DATA BREACHES

It is incumbent for all Committee Members to detect and report any alleged data breaches and for the committee to investigate and report on any such incidents.
